Title: Study on the Interfacial and Mechanical Properties of Seaweed Fiber/Thermosetting Resins Composites Participants: Xin Lu, Pengxiang Si, Xuehui Li, Haisu Wang Superviser: Prof. Wu Introduction: With the increased awareness of environmental protection, it put forward higher requirements to the development and research of fiber-reinforced composites. Seaweed fiber as a natural fiber has not only low density, high strength and so on, its sources are also wide and at low price, it even has the natural advantages of biodegradability. Therefore, this project mainly choose seaweed fiber as reinforcement to produce seaweed fiber reinforced thermosetting resins in order to provide theoretical basis to the actual production. This issue chooses seaweed fiber as reinforce fiber and two kinds of typical thermosetting resin unsaturated polyester resin and epoxy resin as matrix material. It focuses on the process and performance of seaweed fiber reinforced thermosetting resin composites and the influence of the interfacial compatibility caused by different pretreatment methods for seaweed fiber. |
