Abstract:  A new preparation for high barrier modification of the polyester resin was disclosed. The method includes the following steps:(1) The mass ratio of Poly(ethyleneterephthalate)(PET), poly (ethylene-2,6-naphthalate) (PEN), 100:(5-30). The mass ratio of PET and dihydroxazole and the mass ratio of PET and anti-oxidant were 100:(0.01～8) and 100:(0.01～8) respectively. R is stand for the C1-C6 aliphatic and phenyl groups. (2) the mixers were extruded by two-screw extrusion and cut into pellets. The extrusion temperature is 265-300 ℃， the speed of the screw is 15-80r/min. The detention time of the preparation process was 75-400s.Compared with conventional techniques, the patens prepared the polyester resin sharply decrease the use of the PEN for the preparation of the excellent performance of the PET.
