Abstract: Effects of EPDM content, crosslinking agents and crosslinking aids on the rheological properties of reactive PP/ EPDM blends are studied by means of a high2pressure capillary rheometer. The result shows that the reactive blending has a marked effect of viscosity reduction when the EPDM content in disperse phase is 20~25 phr. The higher the crosslinking agent A content, the smaller the apparent viscosity, but the viscosity is not sensitive to shearing. Crosslinking agent B and crosslinking aid S can inhibit PP degradation and optimize the mechanical properties of reactive PP/ EPDM blends while keeping their melt flowability higher than ordinary PP/ EPDM blends
