Abstract: PSBS/PS thermoplastic elastomer was prepared by melting extrusion on a twin-screw extruder. The effect of PS and DCP contents on the processing flowability, mechanical properties, interfacial compatibility and micro-morphology of PSBS/PS thermoplastic elastomer were studied. The results showed the processing flowability and mechanical properties were improved significantly with the addition of PS. However, the PS content had to be limited below 50 wt%, otherwise the phase inversion would occur and materials would lose their properties of thermoplastic elastomers. DCP may initiate co-crosslinking and moderate self-crosslinking of S and B chains, resulting in improvement in mechanical properties.
