Abstract: Morphology behavior and crystallization and melting behavior of two column chromato graphy polyamides(PA-1andPA-2 were supplied by Baling Petro chemical Company of SINOPEC) were studied and characterized by surface reflection optical microscopy, polarized optical microscopy (POM) , differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) and other measurements. The results were further compared with commercial polyamide chromatography (PA23) and other two polyamide 6 (PA6). This work indicated that the column chromatography polyamide is a kind of micro granular porous, crystalline polymers with melting point at approximately 208℃. Porous column chromatography polyamides PA-1and PA-2 (supplied by Baling Petro chemical Company of SINOPEC) hold high regularity, uniform granularity and purity, higher efficiency in separation than other commercial column chromatography polyamides; and lower crystalline rate and enthalpy compared to polyamide6. The column chromatography polyamide produced by Baling Petro chemical Company Sinopec was able to crystallize loosely, which was beneficial for forming micro porous structures, enhancing adsorption and separation forces.
