Study on Properties of PA6/PC/POE/HDI Composites

Abstract: With PA6 as raw material, based on polycarbonate (PC) and polyolefin elastomer (POE) toughing, adding hexamethylenediisocyanate (HDI), a novel engineering plastic PA6 was prepared via reactive extrusion. The influence of different content of HDI on mechanical properties of the composites was studied, and compared the thermal and rheology properties. The results showed that compatibility betweenPA6 and PC can be improved by adding HDI, the viscosity of the composites increased sharply and the crystallization degree decreased in some degree.
