In this paper, the epoxy resin film for composite material sprepreg was prepared using triethyl benzyl ammonium chloride as the acid an hydride/ epoxy resin system accelerator. The room temperature and high temperature cuing characteristics of epoxy resin film were studied. The results show that the reaction rate constant of quaternary ammonium salt for epoxy resin curing at room temperature is lower than that of the imidazole, while the reaction rate constant and gel time at high temperature are almost equal. In the premise of guaranteeing high temperature curing speed of acid an hydride/epoxy system, quaternary ammonium salt has a remarkable retard effect on curing reaction of epoxy resin film at room temperature. The test data show that compared with epoxy resin used imidazole the shelf life at room temperature of epoxy resin film used triethyl benzyl ammoniune salt extend to 8 days, and the theoretical limit of shelf life at room temperature has extended from 8 days to 11days.
