Chen Yujie under the guidance of Prof. Stefan Jendrejewski and Prof. Olaf Jacobs, attended the study of in situ polymerization of PA-6/MWNT composites and its friction properties. She prepared Nylon 6/multi-walled carbon nanotube composites (PA-6/MWNT) successfully, and used ultrasonic dispersion, in-situ polymerization and other methods to improve the non-uniform dispersion of MWNT in the polymer matrix. She adopted acid etching method to improve the interfacial performance of Nylon 6 and carbon nanotubes. Through LAUDA processor viscosity measuring system (PVS 1) are molecular weight and its distribution of different compound proportions (Nylon 6 nanocomposites) measured. Together with the research of the thermal and antifriction properties she finished her English undergraduate thesis "Tribological Behavior of Nanocomposites from Polyamide 6 and Carbon Nanotubes, Prepared by In-situ Polymerization".
