On November 12, 2012, our center held a symposium with Prof. Drummer.
Prof. D. Drummer, a tenured professor in Erlangen-Nurenberg of Polymer Engineering, Germany, is currently director of the Institute of Polymer Materials Engineering. He got his Ph.D. in 2004 in Erlangen-Nürnberg University. After graduation he worked in Germany Oechsler Corporation as technical manager. In 2009, he, 39 years old, was appointed tenured professor, as one of the youngest university professor in Germany. Prof. Drummer is engaged in the main areas of polymer materials engineering and molding. His academic team consists of more than 60 people, presided over a number of EU and German major projects, key projects, especially has extensive tied with the business community to undertake a large industrial enterprise projects. His applied research of automobile lightweight composite structures, micro-production technology, additives production and three dimensional molded interconnect devices gains a very high academic attainments and application achievements.
In the morning of November 13, 2012, East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST) held a grant-appointment ceremony and awarded Prof. Dietmar Drummer (Erlangen-Nürnberg University, Germany) a visiting professor in ECUST. Prof. Ma Yulu (Vice-president of the university), Prof. Liu Changsheng (Director of the Materials Institute), Prof. Jiao jiajun (Director of International Cooperation Department) and Prof. Wu Wei (Director of Sino-German College of Technology) attended the award ceremony, which was chaired by Pro. Liu Changsheng.
