Jiawei Wang, got scholarship of studying aboard funded by Chinese Government, in TU Berlin (TechnischeUniversität) for his doctoral researching work. During this period, he is tutored by Prof. Wagner and Prof. Wu Wei, to prepare seaweed fiber composites, which thermoset resins are as its matrix. Taking advantage of the microporous structures of the seaweed fibers is to improve the damping properties of thermoset resins, and a systematic study on the properties and the mechanism of the fibers and composite materials under different treatment conditions is in progress.
